Dear participant,
This page allows you to check whether all system requirements are met before you start a Linkando videoconference.
If there are reasons why you cannot take part in a videoconference, this function test will give you a corresponding error message. If you are unable to correct the error on your own, our support team is available at the following e-mail address: support@linkando.com
Special note for corporate customers:
Are you connecting to the videoconference from a corporate network or via VPN?
Use the advanced connection test to ensure that no network settings will hinder your participation.

What are the system requirements for my end device so that I can participate in a video conference?
In order to participate, the following requirements must be met:
End device and peripherals
- PC
Your end device should be a PC (notebook or desktop) with either Windows or MacOS as operating system.
- Tablet
You may also participate via a tablet (iOS or Android). However, we recommend that you participate on a PC, as the user experience is significantly better.
- Smartphone
We advise against video conference participation via smartphone. The screen is simply too small for this.
- Peripherals
If your terminal does not have a built-in camera and microphone, you must connect an external camera and use an audio headset (or external speaker) with microphone. If necessary, you can do without the camera, in which case only your sound and no image will be transmitted.
For an optimal user experience, we recommend participation by means of a desktop, notebook or tablet with a screen size of at least 10".
Direct Internet access
You must be directly connected to the Internet with your terminal device. In the case of access via VPN or the use of a terminal server, participation is only possible with the corresponding media configuration of the system.
As quality losses are to be expected here in any case, you should refrain from doing so during a conference.
The browser and any firewall used must allow communication via the HTTPS protocol (IP port: 443).
If your firewall restricts access to certain web domains, the following domains must be whitelisted:
*.tokbox.com, *.opentok. com
Web Browser
The latest versions of all popular web browsers are supported:
.
- Google Chrome (recommended)
- Apple Safari (recommended)
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge (from Version 79+; Chromium-based)
To ensure the best possible video quality, we recommend using Chrome and Safari browsers. Experience shows that video quality is lower when using other browsers in large events. Microsoft Internet Explorer is no longer supported!
On Android mobile devices, Chrome (recommended) and Firefox for Android are supported. Other browsers are not yet supported!
On iOS, only Safari (recommended) for iOS is supported. Other browsers are not yet supported.
Our mobile app does not yet support video conferencing. Please use the respective supported mobile web browser on your smartphone or tablet (see table).
For each web browser, access to the camera and microphone must be approved by the user to protect privacy. We have below summarised the most important support pages on this topic by the recommended browser manufacturers.
Online support of the browser manufacturers to activate the microphone or camera:
Network bandwidth
A minimum bandwidth of 350kbps is required for downloading as well as uploading data. The higher your bandwidth, the better the quality of your participation.
To test this, you can perform a bandwidth test via the website http://speedtest.net.
Now we wish you a successful Linkando video conference and look forward to your participation.
Best regards,
Your Linkando Support Team.
